Naugatuck, CT Evelyn Zegzdryn, 99, the widow of John C. Zegzdryn, died peacefully Dec. 19, 2015 at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Waterbury surrounded by her loving family.
Evelyn was born August 7, 1916 in Naugatuck a daughter of the late Arthur and Pearl (Schwenk) Dunn and was a lifelong Naugatuck resident. She graduated from Naugatuck High School and formerly worked at Peter Paul.
Evelyn is survived by her son, John C. Zegzdryn and his wife Gladys of Florida; her daughter, Maureen Haines and her husband Bruce of Wolcott; her daughter, Kathleen Letts and her husband Kevin of Naugatuck; her 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; her sister in law, Cecelia Dunn of Waterbury and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Evelyn was pre deceased by her two sons, Donald A. Zegzdryn and Richard Zegzdryn and her brother, Edward Arthur Dunn.
Evelyn’s family would like to thank the staff at Autumn Lake Healthcare and Hartford Hospital Hospice for the wonderful care that they provided.
All Services are private and there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Evelyn’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave.
