Beverley Joan Wilde

Naugatuck, CT Beverley Joan Wilde, 90, the widow of Emil Wilde, died peacefully surrounded by loving family on October 2, 2024 in the care of the VITAS Hospice Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Beverley was born November 6, 1933 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late Irving and Gertrude (Durette) Dwy. Beverly lived most of her life in Naugatuck, graduating from Naugatuck High School and for many years she worked in housekeeping at Glendale Health Care Center in Naugatuck.
Beverley enjoyed birding, gardening, reading, doing crosswords and spending time with her family.
Beverley is survived by her son and daughter in law Jack and Allison Lang, her daughter Dona Lang, her son Jeff Wilde, her daughter Emily Poynton, her son and daughter in law Tim and Donna Wilde; her grandchildren, Sara, Jordan, Zac, Max, Briana, Ciera and Madeline; her great grandchildren, Alex, Luna, Mackenzie, Brantley, Rhett and a great grandchild expected in December; her brother and sister in law Russell and Pat Dwy; her sister Carol Butler and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, Beverley was predeceased by her daughter, Tammy Lang; her son in law, David Poynton and several brothers and sisters.
Beverley’s family would like to sincerely thank the entire VITAS Hospice Staff for the exceptional care that they provided to Beverley and her family.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 11:00am at Grove Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Everyone attending the service is kindly asked to please meet directly at the cemetery. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
