Naugatuck- William Earl White, 78, of 157 E. Waterbury Rd, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 29, 2009.
Mr. White was born in Middlebury on November 14, 1930 a son of the late William E. and Johanna B. (Beach) White. He worked for Scovill in Waterbury as a tool maker for many years and also at Risdon as a tool setter and twelve12 years at Uniroyal as a stitching mechanic. He is a veteran of the US Marines having served during the Korean Conflict. He was an NRA Instructor for many years, a HAM radio operator for many years, a member of the Kollege Kapers and a coach for the Union City Little League.
He is survived by five sons, William D. White of Huntsville, AL, Gary White, Ronald White of Naugatuck, Russell White of Southbury and Darryl White of Naugatuck, one daughter, Kimberlee White-Truman of GA, One Brother John White of Naugatuck, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Lawrence John White.
The funeral will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck. Burial with full military honors will be in Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
