Walter Lewis

WATERBURY - Mr. Walter Hubert Lewis, 60, walked through the gates of heaven on February 19, 2012 after battling a sudden illness. Walter was the husband of Antoinette Cross-Lewis.

Mr. Lewis was born in Snow hill, North Carolina on Feb. 5, 1952 to the late Jessie Lewis of North Carolina and the late Levine Ward of North Carolina.

Besides his wife, Walter is survived by his 3 brothers Carnell & Wayne Lewis of Kingston NC, and David Langs of Waterbury; a sister Celestine Tharggard of Ayden, NC; his 6 children Levinna Moore-Corbin, Jermaine & Jacinda Lewis, Kendall & Terrence Cross, and George A. Jones all of Waterbury; his 11 grandchildren; 4 sister-in-laws Beverly Robinson of Derby, Yvette, Bonita Smalls and April Cross of Waterbury; his brother-in-law Andre Cross of Hartford; his mother-in-law Mrs. Mary Robinson-Cross, a host of nieces, nephews and very dear friend Gayle O'Neill of Southbury as well as the Staff of Gail O'Neil Antiques and Jewlery.

A graveside service will be held at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Meriden Road, Waterbury on Friday, Feb 24, 2012 at 11a.m. The Cross-Lewis Family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and prayers. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury is assisting with arrangements.
