Walter Algimantas Kuzmickas

Cheshire - Walter Algimantas Kuzmickas, 81 passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at his home. He was the husband of Susanne (Cass) Kuzmickas.

Born on February 19, 1943, in Kaunas, Lithuania, Walter was the son of the late Vaclovas and Valerie (Melaikyte) Kuzmickas. In 1947, his family immigrated to the United States, where he grew up in Waterbury, Connecticut. Walter dedicated many years to automotive sales and served as a Board Member and Trustee for the Lithuania Club of Waterbury and the Lithuania Cemetery Association. Later in life, he became the owner and operator of Augie’s Cafe in Bristol, a beloved establishment he ran for nearly 17 years. He had been a Cheshire resident since 1975.

Walter is survived by his wife of 57 years, Susanne, and their children: Melisa Pritchard and her husband, Owen, along with their children, Molly, Cassidy, and Jake; Jennifer Kuzmickas; and Stephen Kuzmickas.

Arrangements – Funeral and committal services will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
