New Marlborough, MA Joan Elizabeth Walk was born on August 6, 1943 and died unexpectedly on May 22, 2024 at the age of 80.

Joan was predeceased by her mother, Teresa (Teleisha) Mazilauskas, her father, Edward T. Mazilauskas, and her brother, Edward Mazilauskas.

Joan worked as a teacher at the Kolburne School for 32 years before retiring and enjoyed spending her time working with her passion for animals and gardening.

She leaves behind her dedicated and caring daughter, Jennifer Walk of New Marlborough, MA ; her son, Donald Walk Jr., and his wife, Kimberly, and her grandsons, Donald Walk III and Bradley Walk all of Westford, MA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT. Everyone is kindly asked to please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
