Naugatuck, CT Martha J. Waldo, 90, wife of Frederick H. Waldo, died peacefully on July 1, 2024 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury.

Martha was born March 18, 1934 in Avon, NY daughter of the late William and Doris (Ball) Henderson. Martha lived in Naugatuck most of her life and she was a dedicated and loving homemaker. Martha was a United States Navy Veteran, having met her husband Fred, while they were both honorably serving their country.

In addition to Fred, her husband of 71 years, Martha is survived by her children, Richard Waldo (Linda); Peter Waldo (Carol Dupont-Roy) and Joy Veale (Thomas); her grandchildren, Travis Waldo, Cory Waldo, Erin Veale (Stanley Gryken), Patrick Veale (Ashley) and Molly Veale (Dave); her great grandchildren, Sadie, Stan, Jr., Jack, Jaxson and Vincenzo; her brother, James Henderson. In addition to her parents, Martha was predeceased by her brother, Robert Henderson.


Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
