WATERBURY - Virginia Pani, a longtime resident of Waterbury passed away peacefully on February 5, 2015. She worked at Dorfman’s and traveled to New York City as a buyer for many years. Virginia was a stylish woman with a love of fashion and a warm and friendly manner. Ending her career in fashion retail she went to work at the Waterbury City Hall until her retirement. Virginia truly enjoyed her daily walks in and around the Green.
She was predeceased by her brother William and her sisters, Alice Demetri and Lee Thanes. Virginia is survived by her brother, Pandi Pani of Florida and her many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She will be loved and missed by all.
Virginia will be buried next to her brother and parents, Marina and John (Stoi) Pani. A memorial service will be held in May at St. George’s Albanian Orthodox Church in Trumbull, Connecticut to remember and honor a long life well lived.
