Vincent P. Maddaloni 83, passed away on Tuesday December 29, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Bertha (Yanny) Maddaloni.
Vincent was born on February 13,1926 in Waterbury CT. He was the son of the late Vincent J. and Concetta (DeMio) Maddaloni. He attended Cheshire and Waterbury schools. He was a resident of Cheshire for 75 years. Vincent was a WWII Navy Veteran and was in the first wave of L.S.T., to land in Normandy for the D-Day invasion. He was Cheshire's first patrolman and served for 30 years until his retirement from the Cheshire Police Department in 1984 as Deputy Chief of Police. He loved spending the winters in New Port Richey, Florida. He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening and viewing nature and all that it has to offer.
Besides his wife Bertha of 62 years Vincent leaves one son Paul and his wife Margaret Maddaloni , two daughters Patricia Teator and Betty Maddaloni, one brother Andrew and his wife Marylou Maddaloni and one sister Dorothy Kumkowski all from Cheshire. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren Matthew, Mark, John, Jennifer and Melissa and 5 great grandchildren. Vincent was predeceased by a grandson Edward V. Maddaloni. and a son- in -law Robert H. Teator
Arrangements- A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday January 4, 2010 at The Church of the Epiphany 1750 Huckings Rd. Cheshire at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are asked to go directly to church. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4 to 6 pm. at The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 S.
