NAUGATUCK- Miss Vera Ann Krodel, 76, of 3584 East Main St., Waterbury and a former Naugatuck native, died Sunday evening Sept. 20, 2009 at the Waterbury Hospital.
Miss Krodel was born in Naugatuck, April 15, 1933, a daughter of the late William H. and Celia (Clark) Krodel and was educated in the Naugatuck school system. She was a graduate of Naugatuck High School Class of 1952 and Post Junior College with an Associates degree in Secretarial Science. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a communicant of St. Michael's Episcopal Church of Naugatuck. She had been a Waterbury resident since 1986 moving from Naugatuck.
She leaves two brothers, George F. Krodel of Naugatuck, and William H. Krodel of Largo, Fla.; one sister, Jean Hacker of Arizona, and several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral will be held on Wednesday at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 210 Church St., Naugatuck
