Prospect- Edward E. Vanasse, 70 passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Angela (Lombardo) Vanasse.
Edward was born on December 26, 1940 in Waterbury, CT. and was the son of the late Edward A. and Germaine (Bellemare) Vanasse. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for Pratt And Whitney as a quality control inspector until his retirement and was a Parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church.
Besides his wife Angela of 47 years he leaves three daughters; Deborah Shalagan and her husband Robert of Cheshire, Catherine Salazar of Plainville and Diane Mauceri and her husband John of Wolcott, three sisters; Sister Therese Vanasse of Moosup, Helen Strumski and her husband Arthur of Prospect, Joanne Finger and her husband Daniel of Sherman ,CT. and three brothers Richard Vanasse and his wife Annette of Bristol, Lawrence Vanasse of Middletown and Raymond Vanasse and his wife Deborah of Waterbury. Edward leaves 7 loving grandchildren Alexander, Sarah, Bryan, Evan, David, Ryan and Emma also a very close friend Patricia Jolly, several aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Besides his parents Edward is predeceased by his sister in law Nancy Vanasse.
Funeral services will be held on Monday Morning January 3.2011 at 10:00 from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury RD. Route 69 Prospect to St. Anthony’s Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30.Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held in New Pine Grove Cemetery.
