Waterbury, CT: Genevieve Valiulis, 95, wife of the late Vytautas Valiulis, died peacefully on December 31, 2016 at Regal Care at Waterbury.
Genevieve was born on Sept. 30, 1921 in Lithuania a daughter of the late Petras and Evdokija (Tarbajeva) Simkunas. In 1949 her family emigrated from Lithuania to Waterbury, which became her home and where she raised her family. Genevieve retired from Uniroyal Chemical, where she worked in the payroll department.
Genevieve is survived by her son George and his wife Elisabeth of Virginia, along with her granddaughters, Jennifer of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Holly-Ann of Virginia.
Services will be private and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
