Valerie Ludwig

Cheshire Valerie Jayne Ludwig, 25, of Tucker Rd. passed away Monday morning at her home surrounded by her family. Valerie was born August 24, 1983 in New Haven, the daughter of Ernie Ludwig and Leslie Brainard, both of Cheshire. She attended local schools and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern Connecticut State University, where she gave the student address at graduation. She was a Premium Specialist for Hartford Financial Group and a communicant of St. Bridget Church. Besides her mother and father, Valerie is survived by her step-father Gary Brainard of Cheshire; her step-mother Joanne Ludwig of Cheshire; her sister Sarah Lynne McKenney and her husband David of Leominster, MA; her brother Nick Ludwig of Cheshire; her paternal grandparents E. John and Katherine Ludwig of Cheshire; her Maternal grandmother Sally Drury of Southington; her best friend Tim Ruwet of Torrington and her beloved cat Tank. She was predeceased by her grandfather John Drury. Arrangements Funeral services will be held on Thursday 9:15 from the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St., Cheshire to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
