Timothy W. Palmeri

Timothy “Tim” W. Palmeri, 64, of Cheshire, CT, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, at Smilow Cancer Hospital on October 13, 2022.  He was the loving husband of Karen (Madden) Palmeri for 18 years. Tim was born in Hartford, son of the late Louis Palmeri and Theresa (Dausch) Palmeri. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Adam (Karyn) Palmeri of Wolcott and Austin Palmeri of Moab, Utah; seven siblings, Christine, Lou, Rick, Matthew, Mark, Peter & Patrick and was predeceased by his brother, James. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Roberta (Ed) O’Brien and a host of nieces, nephews, and many great friends.

Tim was Executive Vice-President of the IUBAC Local 1 CT Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers for more than 30 years, retiring in March 2020. In his earlier years working in the trade, Tim often pointed out, with pride, the countless buildings he worked on. Tim was a master of his craft and could build or repair most anything. He was also a member of the Pontelandolfo Club in Waterbury. He enjoyed making and bottling wine, traveling with friends and family and being outdoors. Tim will be deeply missed by the many lives he touched.

Tim’s family would like to thank the 7th floor nurses and staff at Smilow New Haven for all their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim’s memory can be made to Closer to Free/Smilow Cancer Hospital, Office of Development, P.O. 1849, New Haven, CT 06508.
