Asencio "Ace" Timoteo
Loving husband, father, grandfather & brother

Naugatuck, CT Asencio "Ace" Timoteo, 67, husband of almost 46 years and best friend of Patricia (Lennon) Timoteo passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 27.

Ace was born May 8, 1956 in Caracas, Venezuela, son of the late Albino and Maria Timoteo. After immigrating to the United States in 1960, he attended Naugatuck Public Schools, and was a graduate from Naugatuck High School in 1974. He graduated from Waterbury State Technical College with a Degree in Electrical Engineering. Ace was employed at Speeds, Inc. in Waterbury for 16 years, before becoming a part owner and Vice President of Operations of American Copy Service Center. He established many personable and professional relationships before retiring in 2017.

Ace loved the outdoors, especially working in his garden and walking the neighborhood. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, the Dallas Cowboys, and the UConn Huskies. Ace always had music playing; he attended over 30 Jackson Browne concerts. He enjoyed traveling to his condo in Myrtle Beach and vacationing in Cape Cod with his grandkids. Locally, Ace was a member of the Elks, enjoyed breakfasts as Burnsie's, playing setback with his buddies, and bowling in leagues at Perillo's. Along with his wife, he wore many hats, volunteering at St. Francis School when their daughters were attending. He also volunteered his time at the St. Francis Fair for many years.

Besides his wife he leaves his two daughters, who he was extremely proud of: Rachel Koerner and her husband Mike, and Elizabeth Kurimai and her husband Matthew; his beautiful grandchildren Michael, Nora, Charlotte, and James whom he adored and who each share some of their grandfather's sparkling personality. He leaves his brother Albino, his father-in-law Raymond Lennon, Sr., his brother-in-law Raymond Lennon and his wife Linda, his brother-in-law Steven Behlman and his wife Pia, his nephews Jeremy Lennon, Steven Behlman, Jr., and David Behlman, and his niece Jessica Quiles and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Albino and Maria, his brother Manuel, mother-in-law Elinore Lennon, and granddaughter Grace Lennon Koerner.

Ace knew what was important in his life. This was evident in his relationships with "his girls." He never failed to say I love you, and gave the best hugs. He was the kindest and gentlest man most of us have ever known. He leaves a legacy of love and friendship. His family will always be grateful to those wonderful friends, neighbors, and extended family members who helped him so much during the difficult days of his illness.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful and caring doctors, nurses, radiologists, and staff at Harold Leever Cancer Center, Smilow Cancer Center, and Vitas at St. Mary's who were so caring and compassionate.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 12:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. Family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Ace’s Life from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Tuesday, prior to the memorial service.
