WATERBURY- Thomas F. Johnson, 79, passed away, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Wolcott View Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the loving husband of Dianne (Brayton) L. Johnson whom he was married to for 45 years.
He was born March 28, 1939 in New Britain, son of the late Earl and his wife Hedwig (Boucher) Johnson.
Tom was a graduate of Thomaston High School Class of 1958. After graduation he worked for Hallden Machine Company until it closed. He was later employed by the American Red Cross Waterbury Chapter until his retirement.
Mr. Johnson loved Jesus with all of his heart and soul and went on to study for the Diaconate. He was ordained by Archbishop John Whealon, and served at several parishes until he was no longer able to do so.
Besides his wife Tom is survived by his step daughters Deborah Murphy, and Kathleen Peacock. He was predeceased by his step father Albert Spooner.
Mr. Johnson’s family wished to thank the entire staff of Wolcott View Manor for their loving care, also the caregivers at Season’s Hospice.
Arrangements- All services for Mr. Johnson will be private and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Ave, 06704, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
