CHESHIRE – Theresa (Walsh) Amodeo, 78, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2020, at MidState Medical Center in Meriden after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of the late Charles M. Amodeo.
Mrs. Amodeo was born February 11, 1942 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Martin and Neillia (Paulouski) Walsh. She was retired from Cheshire Medical Group where he was employed as office manager. Theresa attended the Waterbury school system and was a graduate of Wilby High school. She was an avid reader, president of the Legion of Mary, and a devout Catholic. She loved animals, nature, the ocean, and traveling with her husband. They would frequently travel to Maine to walk on the beaches and shop in the stores.
She leaves behind her sister and best friend Lisa Bellemare and her husband John. She also leaves behind 2 sisters and 1 brother, Christine Ritchie of Tennessee, Patty Paquette and her husband Ron, and Martin Walsh and his wife Ellen. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, her close friend of many years Pat Casey of Waterbury, CT and her beloved cat Sparky who now lives with her sister Lisa.
Arrangements – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish-St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. There are no calling hours and The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410 is assisting with arrangements.
