Theresa (Cullinan) Monroe

CHESHIRE – Theresa (Cullinan) Monroe, 92, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Arden House in Hamden. She was the wife of the late Henry Monroe.

Mrs. Monroe was born December 19, 1927, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Hyland Cullinan. She was a Communicant of the Church of the Epiphany and a lifelong Cheshire resident.

Mrs. Monroe is survived by her children, Douglas Monroe and his wife Evelyn of Prospect, Brian Monroe of Florida, and Susan Hicks of Farmington; her grandchildren Ryan, Gregory, Chad, Lindsay, Justin, Tanya, Marc, and Karen, and eleven great grandchildren. Mrs. Monroe is predeceased by her son Christopher Monroe.

Arrangements – A private graveside will be held in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions, in Theresa’s name, can be made to St. Bridget of Sweden Parish, 175 Main St., Cheshire, CT 06410.
