Prospect, CT Dennis J. Szejman, 81, husband of Joyce (Hudobenko) Szejman, died peacefully on May 5, 2019 at Beacon Brook Health Center in Naugatuck.
Dennis was born on August 29, 1937 in Passaic, NJ a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Berta) Szejman and lived in Prospect for the past 51 years. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, having served on the USS Wren. Dennis retired from Pratt and Whitney and he was a parishioner of St. Anthony Church.
In addition to his wife Joyce, Dennis is survived by his son, Dennis J. Szejman, Jr.; his daughter, Denise Elizabeth Leavitt and her husband, Merrell; his grandchildren, Amber Brown, Caroline Boule and Monique Boule; his great grandchildren, Jameson Brown and Anderson Brown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00am at St. Anthony Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Everyone attending is kindly asked to meet at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
