WALLINGFORD – Susan F. Zwick, 76, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. She was the wife of the late Leonard G. Zwick.
Mrs. Zwick was born on November 12, 1945 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Speers) Feest and had been a lifelong resident of Cheshire before moving to Wallingford several years ago. Sue was retired from the Cheshire school system after a twenty-eight-year career as a teacher and department chair, but continued to be involved with her beloved CHS family through her many friendships and the lives of the students she worked with. Sue was an avid golfer and a member of the Farms Country Club for many years where she forged lasting and significant friendships. Her “Anybody Thursday” dinners at the club were often a highlight of her week. In her retirement Sue found great happiness with her loving partner Richard Prouty and their many adventures traveling, boating and exploring all that New England has to offer. When at home Sue and Rick could be found cooking, watching the birds or caring for their rescue animals who they dearly loved.
The highlight of Susan’s life was spending time with her granddaughter Bianca. Their special bond and silly jokes made Sue radiate with joy and she was beyond proud of her.
Mrs. Zwick is survived by her children; Stacey Lyn Zwick of Cheshire, and Scott Bradford Zwick and her daughter-in-law, Adriana G. Zwick of Massachusetts, and her cherished granddaughter, Bianca Victoria Zwick; her nieces Monica Moriarty; Kimberly Goosman, her husband John and their daughter Katie; her nephew Joseph Feest, his wife Karen and their daughter Katelyn. She will also be deeply missed by her loving significant other Rick, her dearest friend Karen Larkin and her significant other Phil Guilford as well as her 2nd family; Stephen Larkin and his wife Kelly, Kristy Mahon and her husband Bill, Robby and Kathy Larkin and all of the Larkin/Mahon grandchildren who she counted as her own. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Zwick is predeceased by her brother Alfred Feest, Jr.
