OAKVILLE - Richard A. Stokes, 68, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Mary Anne (Pym) Stokes, who passed after 32 years of marriage.

Mr. Stokes was born on Sept. 28, 1944 in Waterbury, a son of the late Albert Stokes and Anna (Burke) Stokes. He was retired from Perfection Screw and Rivet, where he worked as a toolmaker for many years.

He was a member of the "McDonald's Coffee Club" of Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury.

He is survived by two daughters, Kelly Stokes and Lori Stokes. He's also survived by one brother, Donald Stokes.

The funeral will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 9 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St. in Naugatuck. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect on Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
