Stephen Gode

Cheshire - Stephen P. Gode, 75, of Academy Rd., passed away Sunday May 10, 2009 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Margarita (Conklin) Gode.

Mr. Gode was born August 6, 1933 in New Haven the son of the late Rudolph and Julia (Platt) Gode. He graduated from the University of Connecticut obtain his Bachelors of Science in Agronomy. He was a life-long resident of Cheshire, where he founded G.W. Incorporated Water Conditioning over fifty years ago.

Mr. Gode is survived by his son Stephen and his wife Barbara of North Haven; his daughter Kathleen Ewings and her husband James of Cheshire; his companion Barbara Welton; his sisters Ann Brisson of Cheshire and Judith Wolfe of Jupiter, FL; three grandchildren Stephen C. and Christina Gode and James R. Ewings; a niece four nephews and many cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Susan Dickson.

Arrangements ' Funeral Services will be held on Saturday May 16, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Cheshire United Methodist Church, 205 Academy Rd., Cheshire. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery.
