Stella Medeiros

CHESHIRE - Stella F. Medeiros, 88, passed away February 15, 2014 at the Highland Health Care Center in Cheshire. She was the wife of Edmund Medeiros.

Mrs. Medeiros was born April 20, 1925 in Swansea, MA, the daughter of the late George and Maria (Cabral) Furtado. She was a long time resident of Cheshire moving from Pawcatuck in 1999.

Besides her husband of 63 years, Mrs. Medeiros is survived by her children Herb Medeiros and his wife Adeline of Leesburg, VA and Stella Romero and her husband Albert of Cheshire and Edmond Medeiros Jr. and his wife Leslie of Stonington; as well as her grandchildren Alexander Medeiros and Christopher Romero.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 22, 2014, 9:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. with the Rosary starting at 6:30.
