Stanley Bridge

NAUGATUCK- Mr. Stanley L. Bridge formerly of West Hill Terr., Naugatuck, died Friday Jan. 22, 2010 at the Mattatuck Health Care Facility, Waterbury. He was the husband of Elaine (Smith) Bridge.

Mr. Bridge was born in Willsboro, N.Y, Jan. 1, 1928, a son of the late Peter and Katherine (Currier) Bridge and had been a Naugatuck resident for over 50 years, moving here from New York. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. and was a retired employee of the Risdon Mfg. Co. where he had worked for over 40 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed golf.

Besides his wife of Southbury, he leaves one daughter, Denise Fredericks and her husband Charles of Naugatuck; four sons, Timothy Bridge and his wife Susan of Marlboro, MA, Keith Bridge and his wife Denise of New Fairfield, Tracy Bridge and his wife Alison of Naugatuck, and Christopher Bridge and his wife Rebecca of Torrington; two brothers Robert Bridge of Willsboro, NY and Albert Bridge of Naugatuck; three sisters, Elizabeth Jacques, Dorothy Jacques and Margaret Hendricks all of Willsboro, NY and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Allen and Anthony Bridge.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 am at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice
