Shirley Stacy

WALLINGFORD- Shirley I. Stacy, 88, widow of the late George Stacy, passed away with her loving family by her side on April 7, 2019.
Shirley was born on September 21, 1930 in Bridgeport, CT, a daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (Van Wart) Burlison. She was raised in Bridgeport, CT and attended Lincoln Grammar School and Warren Harding High School. She worked as a nurse for Bridgeport and St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Shirley was an avid reader and enjoyed all kinds of crafts, such as sewing, knitting, crochet, needlepoint and all sorts of crafts for the holidays.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Beverly Garceau, of Wallingford, CT; Kathleen and her husband Gene Bowers, of Naugatuck, CT; Judy and her husband Bob Ortscheid, of Clearwater, Fl; Debbie and her husband Joe Perez, of Miami Springs, Fl; her son, Bob Atcherson and his wife Jean, of Flagler Beach Fl; her grandchildren, Lynn and husband Paul Allen of Oxford, CT; Mike Nesshoever and wife Lynn, of Chicopee, VT; Rich Nesshoever, of Wallingford, CT; Matt Dellavecchia and wife Lyndsay, of Cheshire, CT; Jeff Bowers and wife Leanne, of Simsbury, CT; Laura Bowers and husband Ryan Berthiaume, of Somerville, MA; Melissa and her husband Guy Karlsen, of Waterbury, CT; Joe Perez and wife Adriana, of Miami Springs, FL; Mike Perez and wife Meli, of Miami Springs, Fl; Danny Perez and wife Katie, of Miami Springs, FL; Kendra and her husband Parker Estey, of Clearwater, Fl; Amanda Ortscheid, of New Britain, CT; her 18 great grandchildren and her 3 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley now goes to join her brother Bob, son-in-law Bruce Garceau and great grandson Drew Allen.
