Loving wife, mother & grandmother

Naugatuck- Sharon Ann (Stockunas) Sprague, 74, wife of Kenneth Sprague, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was born on July 15, 1944 in Waterbury, daughter of the late George V. and Helen T. (Arnold) Stockunas. She worked as an insurance agent for the John M. Sutherland Insurance agency until her retirement. Her and Ken enjoyed traveling in their RV across the country, visiting their daughter in Las Vegas, and spending the winters in their Florida home.

Sharon is survived by her husband Kenneth of 56 years; her daughters, Kimberly San Angelo and husband Andrew (Naugatuck, CT), and Kristin Sprague-Malpee and husband Simeon(Las Vegas, NV); her grandchildren, Jennifer Perugini (New York, NY), Tara Gannon (Waterbury, CT) and husband CJ (with a great granddaughter soon to come), Matthew San Angelo(Naugatuck, CT), and Alyssa San Angelo(Naugatuck, CT); her brother, Ed Stockunas and wife Sue (Nordland, WA); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Sharon was predeceased by her sons David and Kenneth.

A private graveside service will be held at St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck, CT.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Sharon’s memory to the Smilow Cancer Center, 35 Park St, New Haven, CT 06511.
