Naugatuck-Olga (Shuron, Janik) Sousa, 90 of Perock Lane passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 after a long illness at home surrounded by her family.
Olga was born on January 27, 1920 in Ansonia and was the daughter of the late William and Mary Shuron. She worked for Uniroyal, Inc as a supervisor for many years until the plant closed. She was an avid Yankees fan, loved to knit, crochet, and go to the casino.
She is survived by her brothers John Shuron of Syracuse, NY, a daughter, Barbara Stewart and her husband Richard of Oxford, a son, John Janik and his wife Maureen of North Fort Meyers, FL, a daughter Lee Ann Carpentier and her husband John of Waterbury, a niece and nephews, great nieces and nephews, grand children, step grandchildren and great-grand children.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by a sister and brother.
A celebration of her life will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck is in charge of arrangements.
