NAUGATUCK — Emma A. Smith, 93, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Clayton R. Smith.

Mrs. Smith was born on March 19, 1919, in Groton, a daughter of the late Louis Antonioli and Venusla (Tombari) Antonioli. She was a graduate of Wilby High School, class of 1937.

She retired from Waterbury Press Metal where she worked as a press operator for many years. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church in Naugatuck.

Emma was lovingly known as Nonnie to all.

She is survived by A daughter, Judith Corbett and her husband Lloyd of Naugatuck, with whom she resided with for 30 years; one sister, Lucy Luccarelli of Waterbury; two grandchildren, Todd Corbett and his wife Emily of Prospect, Tara Meade and her husband John of Darien; and three great-grandchildren, Aiden Corbett, Brandon Corbett and James Meade.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. from Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect to St. Francis of Assisi Church for a Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
