Shirley W. Sickola

Shirley W. (Dyson) Sickola, age 84, of Beacon Falls entered into rest on Friday, November 9, 2018 at her home. She was born on March 13, 1934 and lived her younger years in the Hitchcock Lake section of Wolcott, until she married and moved to Beacon Falls, where she lived until her death.

She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, John E. Sickola, Jr.; her son, John E. Sickola, III; and her daughter, Shari Lee Sickola LeBel.

Shirley was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and Waterbury School of Radiology. After graduation, she worked at Waterbury Hospital for over 20 years in Nuclear Medicine and X-Ray until her retirement.

Shirley is survived by her wonderful, caring neighbors, especially Eileen and Richard Barrett, Karolina Krachun, Jackie and Joe Cormier, and Dana and Pete Satkowski, who was her caregiver; and her faithful dog, Guiliana.
