Shirley V. Darley

CHESHIRE- Shirley V. Darley, 90, passed away Sunday August 14, 2016 at Mid-State Medical Center. She was predeceased by her husband Linus V. Darley in 2009 after 58 years of marriage.

Mrs. Darley was born August 9, 1926 in New Haven daughter of the late Eugene J. and Esther E. (Howard) Reardon.

Shirley was a self-employed Registered Nurse prior to her retirement.

She is survived by her three sons Lee Linus Darley of Cheshire, Lloyd Eugene and his wife Debbie Darley of Bristol, and Lyle Walter and his wife Betty Darley of Wolcott; a brother Howard Reardon of Virginia; her sister Carolyn LaPorte of Westfield, NY; nine grandchildren Brya, Delia, John, Seth, Jared, Drew, Austin, Rebecca, and Justin; and five great grandchildren Sage, Bryce, Adaline, Grace, and Emily. Shirley was predeceased by her daughter in law Pat Darley.

Arrangements- A Graveside Service for Mrs. Darley will be held 10 A.M, Saturday, August 27, 2016 at East Lawn Cemetery, 58 River Street, East Haven, 06512. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Burial will follow after the service, and there are no calling hours. The Alderson- Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410 is assisting with the arrangements.
