Shirley Belzo

MERIDEN - Shirley Belzo, 71, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of Michael J. Belzo. She was born January 7, 1944 in Shenandoah, PA the daughter of the late John and Ethel Wrubleski.

Besides her husband of 52 years, Mrs. Belzo is survived by her son Michael and his wife Robin of Middletown; her daughter Cynthia Belzo of Boca Raton, FL; her sister Barbara Sekula of Ringtown, PA and her beloved grandchildren Shauna, Stephanie, Josh, Nicholas, Ashlee, Chase, Hunter, Stone and her great granddaughter Oliva. Her passion in life was her relationship with her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her Siblings, Albert & Jack. She had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews whom she held a special closeness. She was a 50 year Meriden resident, employed by the Meriden School system as a cafeteria manager. She graduated from J.W. Cooper in Shenandoah, PA in 1961.

Arrangements – Calling hours will be Friday the 23rd from 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, CT. 615 South Main St. Friends and family are invited to the funeral service that will be held Saturday morning the 24th at 10:00AM. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers gifts and contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
