Sheryl L. Wallinger

Cheshire - Sheryl Wallinger, 52, passed away peacefully with her entire family by her side Thursday, April 5, 2018 at her home in Cheshire. Sheryl was born March 25, 1966 in Bridgeport, the daughter of Marilyn (Tomek) Bialek. She was raised in Oxford, graduating from Seymour High School Class of 1984 before moving to Cheshire in the early 1990s.

Sheryl was a well-known face throughout the town of Cheshire; always present at her children’s sports games, band concerts, banquets, and events. Her love for all of her children shone through her dedication to supporting them. Aside from being the wonderful mother she was, Sheryl’s love for the beauty of outdoors could be seen as you passed their home; their yard always adorned with the brightest blooming flowers and the butterflies that came along with them. She was frequently outside tending to her gardens with one or all of her four legged kids by her side.

In addition to her mother, Sheryl’s light shines on through her husband of 22 years, Michael Wallinger; their children Jessica, Rachel, Nicholas, and Kaitlyn Wallinger; her sister Sally Gyolai, her husband Todd, and their children Zachary, Connor, and Joshua of Bethlehem; her in-laws Henry and Linda Wallinger; her sister-in-law Laurie Garafolo and her husband Lou of Jacksonville, FL; her sister-in-law Pam Casner, husband Jack, and their kids Madison and John; as well as all of the honorary kids that she treated and loved as her own.
