WATERBURY- Sheila M. Clifford, 72, passed away at her home on Sunday February 8, 2015.

She was born on May 15, 1942 daughter of the late Margaret (Moriarty) and Michael Clifford.

Sheila worked at Miles Pharmaceuticals/ Bayer Pharmaceuticals for thirty seven years before retiring in 2004.

She was an active member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians where she held many offices up to and including National President from 1986 to 1988. Sheila was also a member of the Waterbury Emblem Club #552 where she enjoyed traveling to Supreme Conventions. Sheila was very proud of her Irish heritage, baking her special Irish Bread, and an avid UCONN Women’s Basketball Fan.

Sheila is survived by her brother John “Jack” and his wife Mary Clifford of Waterbury; two nieces Margaret and her husband David Simpson of Thomaston, and Maureen and her husband Perry Pavolko of Pittsfield, MA; two nephews Sean and his wife Ellen Clifford of Hebron, and Kevin and his wife Michele Clifford of Prospect; great nieces and nephews, John and Brittany Pavolko, Jaclyn and Zachary Simpson, and Tyler, Patrick, Amanda, Meghan, Brandon Clifford; and her cousin Joseph and his wife Mary Moriarty of Waterbury.

Arrangements- A funeral service for Ms. Clifford will be held 10:30 A.M Friday February 13, 2015 at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday morning 9 A.M until the start of the service. Donations in her name may be made to the Ladies AOH, c/o Linda Galvin, 27 Rockridge Terrace, Prospect, CT 06712.
