Sharon Weidner

CHESHIRE- Sharon L. (Grasson) Weidner, 69, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of Bill Weidner whom she was married to for 27 years.

Sharon was born September 5, 1941 in New Haven, daughter of the late Albert Joseph and Charlotte (Eriksson) Grasson.

She was a graduate of Cheshire High School. She was Co-owner of the Bookbinder Company. She was a member of The First Congregational Church in Cheshire. Sharon was an accomplished fencer, artist, and equestrian rider.

Sharon's family would like to thank the VNA Hospice Nurses "Angels on Earth" for the care and compassion they showed during her illness.

Besides her husband Sharon is survived by a son Bernard Madden of Cheshire; a daughter Bridget Weidner and her husband Doug Garuti of Oregon; two brothers Robert Grasson of Orange, and Albert and his wife Karen Grasson of Cheshire. She was predeceased by her first husband Neil Madden; a son Brian Madden; and a sister Frances Kreuziger.

Arrangements- Funeral Services for Sharon are private. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410 is in charge of the arrangements. Donations in Sharon's name may be made to VNA Hospice, 50 Brookside Drive, Waterbury, CT 06708.
