PROSPECT — Linda L. Scully, 70, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Scully.
Mrs. Scully was born on March 26, 1944, in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Louis and Ethel (Morgan) Cocchiola. She was retired from the Prospect school system where she worked as a librarian aide at Algonquin School.
She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Legassey and her husband, Jeremy, of Terryville, and their sons, Jeremy Jr. and Aiden. She also leaves behind two sisters, Lois Burns and Sally Bertrand, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Scully's family would like to thank Carla and Pam from the VNA and the staff of VITAS for the wonderful care that they provided.
The funeral for Mrs. Scully will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in St James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect, on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.
