Ellen Scully

Naugatuck - Ellen Scully, 74 of 323 North Main St. died Saturday May 29. 2010 at the home of her niece after an extended illness.

Ellen was born on November 24, 1935 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Francis J. and Helen (McDermott) Scully.
She attended St. Francis Grammer School, Sacred Heart High School, Annhurst College and received her masters from the University of Connecticut. Ellen was a teacher at the Griffin School (formally South School) in Oakville for 38 Years.
She was a active member of the Catholic Graduates Club and a Communicant of St. Mary's Church.

Ellen is survived by a brother-in-law Robert R. Raymond, nieces and nephews Ellen M. Bowen and her husband Joseph, Virginia M. McDermott, Robert Raymond Jr. and his wife Noreen Conway, Patrick F. Raymond and his fiance Ceci Campbell, Helen M. Raymond, Mary E. Taylor and her husband Scott and Eileen C. Wilson. Great nieces and nephews, Christopher Bowen, Kathleen Bowen, Courtney McDermott, Michael and Daniel Vardon, Andrew and Sarah Taylor, Catherine Wilson, Tighe Raymond and many cousins.She was pre-deceased by her siblings, Virginia S. Martin, Francis J. Scully Jr. and Patricia Scully Raymond.

The Funeral Will be held on Wednesday June 2, 2010 at 9:30 am from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave. Naugatuck Ct, to St. Mary's Church for a mass at 10:00 am. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
