Naugatuck - Scott Walsh, 58, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Dawn (Krinick) Walsh.
Scott was born August 25, 1966, in New York, NY, the son of Lillian (Hornoff) Toth and the late Joseph Toth, and the late Raymond Walsh Sr. He was a longtime Naugatuck resident and had worked in the trucking industry as well as a bartender at San Marino Ristorante Italiano.
Besides his beloved wife of 33 years, and his mother, Scott is survived by his brother Raymond Walsh Jr. and his wife Lynn; his sister Lorraine Pastore and her husband Christopher; his nephews Ryan, Tyler, and Dane Walsh, Anthony Tucker, and C.J. Pastore niece Amber Krinick, great nephews and nieces Rayden, Adalynn, and Kaleigh Walsh, Teal and Turquoise Hoffman; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren. Also left behind were dear friends, his chosen family.
Scott was a man of few words, but his words carried weight. He was dependable, loyal and the first to show up for those in need. He was a passionate hunter who loved sports, cars and most of all, his family and friends. Scott was a diehard softball player and coach for almost 40 years with St Francis and St. Vincent softball leagues.
Arrangements – Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 5 to 7 pm at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, CT. On Saturday, a service will be held at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. So that Scott can continue to help children laugh and play, memorial contributions may be made to The Foote School, 50 Loomis Pl, New Haven, CT 06511.
