Carol Schenck

Southbury, CT Carol (Gilchrist) Schenck, 91, passed away on December 14, 2021 at River Glen Health Care in Southbury. She was the wife of the late Hollis Schenck for 69 years.

Carol was born on January 20, 1930 in Waterbury, Connecticut. She attended Oxford schools and Seymour High School. Carol worked for Uniroyal and Naugatuck Glass Shop before staying home to raise her family. She loved gardening, painting and antiquing. Carol enjoyed crocheting and sewing, she was very talented and creative. Her greatest joys were her cats and dogs.

Carol is survived by her children; Gene Schenck and his wife Barbara of Oxford, Connecticut, Judy Schenck of Maine, Nancy Barnes and her husband Gale of Pennsylvania, Janice Villalba and her husband Larry of Waterbury, Connecticut, 14 grandkids, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her two sons; Gary Schenck and Jerry Schenck.
