Serafim Santos

Naugatuck-Serafim Santos, 81, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Helenice (Rodrigues) dos Santos.
Mr. Santos was born on August 10, 1932 in Santiago de Riba Ul, Portugal, a son of the late Francisco Goncalves Dos Santos and Albertina (Gomes).
He is survived by his three daughters Irene Matos and her husband Paul of Naugatuck, Maria Lourdes Silva and her husband Antonio of Bristol, and Manuella Moutinho and her husband George of Bristol, his brother, Jaoquim Santos of Naugatuck and his sister, Maria Adelaide de Jesus of Cascais, Portugal. He will also be missed by his seven grand-children, Jennifer (Silva) Boucher, Daniel Silva, Lindsay Moutinho, Justin Moutinho, Danielle Matos, Alex Ryley Matos, and, Nicole Marie Santos as well as two great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, John C. Santos and his brother, Antonio Santos.
The funeral will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, is in charge of the arrangements.
