Piedade Santos

Naugatuck-Piedade (Paulo) Santos, 73 of 67 Lewis Street, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Manuel Santos.
Mrs. Santos was born on September 25, 1936 in Siera Velha, Chaves, Portugal a daughter of the late Alvaro and Maria (da Graca) (Ventura) Paulo. She worked as a seamstreet for Modern Fashions in Oakville for many years and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Besides her husband of Naugatuck she is survived by two sons, Nuno Dos Santos of Waterbury and Vitor Santos of Naugatuck, one sister Zulmira Paulo of Naugatuck, two brothers, Americo Paulo of Portugal and Fernando Paulo of France, one grandson, Derek Santos of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one sister and two brothers.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte 69, Prospect to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Baldwin St, Waterbury for a mass at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m.
