CHESHIRE - Sandra L. Brightman, 76, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 18, 2020 at her home in Cheshire with her family by her side. She was the devoted and loving wife of the late Ronald F. Brightman who was the absolute love of her life.
Mrs. Brightman was born February 11, 1944 in Newark, NJ, daughter of the late Edmund and Rita (Normile) Pietrusewicz. Prior to her retirement, she held every position in the restaurant industry, from waitress to banquet manager, to owner.
Mrs. Brightman is survived by her beloved daughter, Deborah Ellis and her husband, Louis of Middletown. She will also be greatly missed by her only grandchild, Alexus Rivera. She leaves 3 cousins, Billy Fretz and his wife Helen of Maine, Pat Normile and his wife Annie and Little Billy of Ohio. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Pietrusewicz. She leaves several step-grandchildren as well. In addition to her family she leaves a very close circle of friends who she cherished dearly.
ARRANGEMENTS - A calling hour for Mrs. Brightman will be held from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410. The procession will leave the funeral home following the calling hour to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish-St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St, Cheshire, at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. A memorial celebration for Sandy will be held in the Spring 2021.
