NAUGATUCK- Mr. Sam Francis Perrotti, 87, of Naugatuck, passed away late Monday evening May 7, 2012, at the Middlebury Convalescent Home. He was the husband of Marie A. (Pesanelli) Perrotti.
Sam was born in Waterbury Oct. 25, 1924, a son of the late Pasquale and Carolina ( Billotta) Perrotti and was educated in the local school system. He moved to Naugatuck 53 years ago. He was a W.W. II, US. Marine Corps. veteran, serving as a Corporal in the Plane Maintenance Div., and was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, The WW II Victory Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Medal, and a certificate of Satisfactory Service. He was the retired co-owner of Bendix Brake of Waterbury working there for over 30 years. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and served as a former usher.
Sam has a passion for Opera and enjoyed vacations with extended family on Cape Cod, having made many friends over the years at favorite local restaurants. He loved working with his tools which he did until his last days. Sam will be greatly missed.
Besides his loving wife of 53 years, he leaves his devoted daughter, Caroline Perrotti of Washington, D.C.; one brother Anthony Perrotti of Waterbury and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Saturday May 12, 2012, at 12:15 p.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. and proceed to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross St., Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday May 11, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m.
