Naugatuck-Ann (Panulyn) Salenik, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2014. She was the wife of George Salenik.
Mrs. Salenik was born on February 18, 1922 in Czechoslovakia, a daughter of the late John and Mary Panulyn. Because she lived in NY City as a single young women she often referred herself as a New Yorker. Upon her marriage and subsequent move to CT she worked as a stitcher for both Uniroyal, Inc and Stride-Rite for many years before retiring.
Besides her husband she is also survived by her daughter Beth Salenik-Raccuia and her husband Ben.
She was predeceased by two children, her son George who passed as a baby and a daughter Patricia who passed in 1974.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck at 9:30 a.m. to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck for a mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of departure.
