Diane Ryan

Naugatuck, CT Diane Ryan, 56, the wife of Robert T. Ryan, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

Diane was born in Waterbury, CT on August 29, 1960 a daughter of the late Peter R. and Elizabeth (Chism) Alanskas and had lived in Naugatuck for most of her life. Diane was a loving wife, daughter, mother, and sister. She loved her pets, and she enjoyed cooking and swimming. Diane liked to travel, especially to Cape May NJ and Newport, RI, and she will be missed for her smile and her love of life.

In addition to her husband Rob, Diane is survived by her son, Angus MacDonald and his wife Kelly; her brother, Richard Alanskas; her sister, Petrice Alanskas and her companion Jim Vodges, and several nieces and nephews.


A Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 7:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7pm at the funeral home. To honor Diane’s memory, contributions can be made to the ASPCA at www.ASPCA.org.
