Ruth McDermott

NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Ruth (Rivera) McDermott, 79, of 121 Highridge Rd., Naugatuck, died early Tuesday morning April 1, 2009, at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of James F. McDermott.

Mrs. McDermott was born in Yauo, Porto Rico, Mar. 12, 1930, a daughter of the late Alexander and Ramona Rivera and had been a Naugatuck resident since 1984, moving here from Norwalk. She retired in 1989 from Machlett Laboratories, a division of Raytheon Corp. after 24 years of service.

She leaves no immediate survivors.

All services will be private. There are no calling hours The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is in charge of arrangements.
