Ruth Ann Ross

Ruth Ann Ross, age 85, of Sevierville, TN and formerly of Cheshire entered into rest on February 23, 2016 at the Sevier County Health Care Center in Sevierville, TN. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard Ross. Ruth was born on August 24, 1930 in Cincinnati, OH, daughter of the late Theodore Russell and Mary Catherine (Howell) Dennison.

Ruth was a shopping fanatic, whether it be clothes or accessories, she enjoyed the quest for her precious finds. Before moving to Tennessee three years ago, Ruth was a Cheshire resident for over 55 years. She enjoyed time with friends on her bowling league, and trips around the US to see family. Ruth once took off to Europe with the girls for three weeks and went cross country with her best friend, Barbara Christoff.

She is the beloved mother of Brenda Ross of Sevierville, TN and Kim Ross of Chicopee, MA. Ruth is survived by her sister, Margaret Hume of FL; and several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean Ohmer.

A Funeral Service for Ruth will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 10AM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 4PM to 6PM.
