Russell Treat

CHESHIRE - Russell "Russ" Treat, 90, passed away at his home on January 2, 2011. He was the husband of the late Cecelia D. (Tuttle) Treat who passed away in 1986.

Mr. Treat was born October 22, 1920 in West Haven the son of the late George and Selma (Rosenquest) Treat. He was WWII Army Veteran as well as a longtime Cheshire resident where he served his community as a Police Officer from 1959 until his retirement in 1986.

Mr. Treat is survived by his sons Charles T. Treat of East Hartford and Russell H. Treat Jr. of Waterbury; his daughter Sandra Steller of Elkhorn, WI; his sisters Jean Treat of West Haven and Shirley Meagher of North Branford; his grandson Charles R. Treat of East Hartford and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements - Funeral services with Cheshire Police Department honors will be held on Thursday January 6, 2011 at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
