Waterbury - Adrien J. Rousseau, 88, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Ignez (Halasi) Rousseau.

Mr. Rousseau was born on May 4, 1925 in Vermont, a son of the late Delphis and Noella (Vallee) Rousseau. He was a W.W. II veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the South Pacific Theater, and was a life member of the V.F.W Post 1946, Naugatuck, Ct.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Charles and wife Diane of Florida, his son, Carol, and his sister, Rita Bisaillon . He is also survived by his five stepchildren that he cherished as if they were his own, Roseli Spiers and husband Graham, Ray Zolyomi, Regina Brewster and husband Gary, Rosemary Zolyomi and Richard Zolyomi. He will also be missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Sandra and by his eight brothers and sisters.

The funeral service for Mr. Rousseau will be held in the chapel at the State of Connecticut Veterans’ Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. Burial with full military honors will follow immediately.
