CHESHIRE- Rosemary Sbordone, 94, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 5, 2020. She was the widow of Sylvester Sbordone whom predeceased her on August 8, 2005 after 57 years of marriage.
Mrs. Sbordone was born February 16, 1926 in Waterbury daughter of the late Antonio and Pauline (Santa Maria) Magaraci.
Rosemary will always be remembered as a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt.
Mrs. Sbordone was a parishioner of St. Bridget Church. She was a deeply faithful woman, an avid reader, crossword puzzle enthusiast, excellent cook, seamstress and over the years volunteered in many areas such as Scouts, PTA, Ladies Guild and various other organizations. She was a member of The Senior Center. She helped establish and run her husband’s business; Sbordone Refrigeration and Air Conditioning until retirement.
Rosemary is survived by her three children Pamela Sbordone Harris, Richard Sbordone, and Ronald and his wife Laura Sbordone all of Cheshire; grandchildren Jodi Denyszyn and her husband Jonathan, Brandon Sbordone, Matthew Sbordone and his fiancé Hannah Strawderman, Krista Sbordone, Tara Sbordone, Derek Wiatrowski, Matthew Wiatrowski and his wife Grace; siblings Joseph Magaraci, Mary Sereduck, Angelo Magaraci, and Anita Rossi; and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements- A calling hour for family and friends will begin 8:30 A.M., Saturday, March 14, 2020 at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410 until the procession leaves for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated 10 A.M at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St, Cheshire, 06410. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery.
