WATERBURY – Rose L. Silverman, 95, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at her residence at The Village at East Farms, surrounded by all her loving children. She was the loving wife of the late Irving Silverman, with whom she shared a wonderful 55-year marriage prior to his passing in 2005.
Rose was born May 26, 1927, in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late Abraham and Teresa (Schwartz) Biberstein. She was the retired office manager for her husband’s accounting firm, Silverman, Pickett & Greenwood CPA’s.
Rose was the true matriarch of the Silverman family and a dearly loved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was known by many as the sweetest person they knew, a true friend, confidant and constant source of positivity, warmth, and support. She left an indelible impression on everyone she met.
Rose leaves her two daughters, Tess (Tamara) Schneps and her husband Steven of Doylestown, PA, and Linda Angel of Simsbury; her two sons, Stewart Silverman and his fiancé Amy Levine of Brookline, MA, and Adam Silverman of Thomaston; her grandchildren, Alex and his fiancé Alana, Connor, Melanie and her husband Matt, Derek and his wife Krista, Jaymie, Danielle, and Jordan; her 2 great grandsons, Grayson and Theo and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Rose was predeceased by her grandson Bryan, her brother Bob Biberstein, and her son-in-law Bill Angel.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 20th at 1:30 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Avenue. Masks will be required and provided. Burial will be in Sharis Israel Cemetery, Stillson Rd., Waterbury, at 3:00 p.m. Shiva will be observed following the burial, from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the home of Adam Silverman. The family kindly requests anyone attending the Shiva to please take a Covid test on Sunday prior to arrival. Details will be forthcoming regarding additional Shiva observances at the homes of Linda and Stewart.
